The concept for the silver calculator came together in November of 2010 when we saw the need to make quick and accurate exchanges with silver coins and rounds. The idea was crowd sourced in December and a number of programmers set out to create the barter exchange app that had been proposed. The Android came first with a beta app before releasing v1.0 in early January. The iPhone app was finally released in February of 2012. We are working on improving the apps to fulfill additional silver calculating needs. Did you get here by way of a Silver Dime Card? We have made a lot of them over the last few years and newer cards made by DontTreadOnMeme.com have a QR code on the back linking to this site. We like the hand and hand nature of the two projects. Not only can you hold a 90% silver dime with a cool trading card feel but the apps make day to day transactions with the cards easy, accurate and fun.
