Android “Silver Calculator” a hit at PorcFest 2011
At this years Porcupine Freedom Festival, A yearly gathering of libertarians in the white mountains of New Hampshire. The Silver Calculator App was well used and put to the test in a truly free market. Most of the attendees at the week long festival were very knowledgeable as to the value of precious metals and very willing to trade and barter in an variety of Silver, Copper and Gold trade units, most of which are now included in the Droid App.

Since the update on June 20th, the Silver Calculator now includes Pre 1965 90% silver coins, 40% US coins from 1965-1976, The US War Nickel, Silver Canadian Coins Pre 1967 and silver bullion rounds in 1/10, 1/2 and 1 oz denominations. We have also started experimenting with laminated cards with 1 and 5 grams of silver in them, known as Shire Silver.
Along with the popularity of the App, others took notice of the “Dime Card project” we have been working on. Many Pre 1965 dimes where seen in a laminated pouch with different designs on the front. The card allows for easy exchange of dimes and includes information on the back describing it’s approximate value.
